The New York Red Bulls take on Toronto FC on Saturday night at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
AJ Marcucci is making his MLS debut, starting in goal for the Red Bulls, with Wiki Carmona making his first start of the 2025 MLS season.
Marcucci is stepping in for Carlos Coronel, who is away with the Paraguayan National Team. Marcucci, drafted in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, signed his first team contract in 2023. The 25-year-old from Pennsylvania steps in between the sticks for the first time for the first team.
Carmona joins the attack of Emil Forsberg and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting as New York looks to take down TFC.
Choupo-Moting scored his first goal for New York last time out, from the penalty spot.
The local pairing of Daniel Edelman and Peter Stroud look to lock down the central midfield starting at the opening whistle.
This will be the 43rd overall regular season meeting between New York and Toronto, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage with a 23-9-10 mark in regular season play.
New York will deploy Raheem Edwards and Dylan Nealis on the outside, with Noah Eile, Sean Nealis and Alexander Hack in front of Marcucci.
