John Tolkin is back in the Starting XI for the New York Red Bulls, following a stint in the league's health and safety protocols, as RBNY take on Charlotte FC for the first time.Â
Carlos Coronel will also return, getting the nod to start in goal for New York as the two sides battle in the Round of 16 in the 2022 U.S. Open Cup. Coronel missed the team's last MLS match with a non-COVID illness.
Tolkin will be joined by Aaron Long, Sean Nealis, Tom Edwards and Dylan Nealis in front of Coronel.
Daniel Edelman makes his second-straight Open Cup start, paired with Cristian Cásseres Jr. in the defensive midfield.
Luquinhas, Omir Fernandez and Patryk Klimala lead the attack for RBNY.
Struber will have seven on his bench, as per Open Cup rules, including Frankie Amaya, Caden Clark, Juan Castillo, Tom Barlow, Lewis Morgan, Dru Yearwood and Ryan Meara on the bench.
Castillo joined the team on Wednesday on a short-term loan from NYRB II.
