INSIDE THE 18: Julian Hall Becomes Third-Youngest MLS Starter in Club History

Inside the 18 - ATL

Julian Hall, at 16 years, 349 days old, becomes the third-youngest starter in an MLS match in club history.

Hall takes the field in Georgia as the New York Red Bulls take on Atlanta United FC on Saturday night. The attacker only trails Eddie Gaven and Jozy Altidore for the club’s youngest starters in an MLS match.

Hall joins the attack of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Emil Forsberg.

Forsberg scored his first goal of the season in New York’s home opener and the 10th of his MLS career. Forsberg has recorded six goal contributions in his last five MLS regular season matches, including an assist in the Red Bulls’ last match against Atlanta.

Daniel Edelman and Peter Stroud look to lock down the defensive midfield.

This will be the 17th overall regular season meeting between New York and Atlanta, with the Red Bulls holding the series advantage with a 9-2-5 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 4-2-2 mark in Atlanta in franchise history, including a 2-2-1 mark in their last five matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal, with Omar Valencia, Sean Nealis, Dylan Nealis, Noah Eile and Dennis Gjengaar on the pitch for the opening whistle.
