INSIDE THE 18: Julian Hall Makes First Start for RBNY

Julian Hall, 16, will make his first start for the first team as the New York Red Bulls take on Toronto FC in their first match of Leagues Cup.

Hall will be paired with Lewis Morgan in the attack.

This will be the 44th overall meeting between New York and Toronto, with the Red Bulls leading the overall series with a 23-10-10 mark. New York have posted a 17-3-2 mark against Toronto FC at home in franchise history, including an eight-match unbeaten streak against Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena.

Ryan Meara starts in goal for New York, with Dylan Nealis, Sean Nealis, Noah Eile and Kyle Duncan along the backline. Sean will captain the side.

Daniel Edelman and Ronald Donkor look to lock down the defensive midfield, with Wiki Carmona and Dennis Gjengaar pushing forward.

The Red Bulls are currently on a 15-match home unbeaten streak across all competitions, which is the second longest streak in franchise history. New York posted a 2-0-1 mark in Leagues Cup matches at Red Bull Arena last season.

Head Coach Sandro Schwarz with options off the bench in Cory Burke, Elias Manoel, Andrés Reyes, Steven Sserwadda, Omar Valencia and Dante Vanzeir. New York will have two goalkeepers on the bench in Carlos Coronel and Dallas Odle, per Leagues Cup roster rules. Sserwadda and Odle are on the roster as additions from Red Bulls II.

Emil Forsberg, Cam Harper, Peter Stroud, Serge Ngoma and Roald Mitchell remain sidelined with injuries. John Tolkin is away at the Olympics.
