The New York Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati will face off at Red Bull Arena on Saturday night, the final match ahead of the Leagues Cup tournament begins.
RBNY will start Lewis Morgan and Elias Manoel up top, with Cameron Harper and Wiki Carmona supporting in the midfield.
Carmona scored his third goal of the season in New York’s 2-2 draw against CF Montreal on Wednesday. Carmona currently ranks fifth in the team in goals scored this season. He has scored five career MLS goals and has tallied three goal contributions in his last six MLS matches.
Daniel Edelman and Ronald Donkor lock down the defensive midfield.
Noah Eile and Andrés Reyes pair at centerback, with Kyle Duncan and Dylan Nealis at the wingback position. Carlos Coronel starts in goal.
New York is currently on a 14-match home unbeaten streak across all competitions, which is the second-longest streak in franchise history. The Red Bulls remain the only unbeaten team at home in MLS with a 6-0-5 mark at Red Bull Arena this season.
Off the bench, Head Coach Sandro Schwarz will have Cory Burke, Bento Estrela, Dennis Gjengaar, Julian Hall, Ryan Meara, Aidan O’Connor, Steven Sserwadda, Omar Valencia and Dante Vanzeir available.
Emil Forsberg, Roald Mitchell, Peter Stroud and Serge Ngoma remain sidelined. Sean Nealis is out due to a red card, while John Tolkin is away from the team on International Duty.
