INSIDE THE 18: New York Red Bulls Begin Playoff Run with Match 1 of Best-of-3 vs. Columbus Crew

The New York Red Bulls begin their 15th-consecutive playoffs run with Match 1 of a Best-of-3 series vs. the Columbus Crew in the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs.

New York visits Lower.com Field to take on the reigning MLS Cup Champions on Tuesday, with the match beginning at 6:45 PM ET.

New York will have captain Emil Forsberg making his first MLS postseason appearance, alongside Felipe Carballo, Cameron Harper and Daniel Edelman. Carballo is also making his playoffs debut.

Forsberg recorded his second-career MLS multi-goal match in New York’s last match of the season against the Columbus Crew. He has now recorded a goal contribution in three-straight matches, which includes five goal contributions with three goals and two assists.

Lewis Morgan and Dante Vanzeir push the attack for RBNY.

Morgan recorded 20 goal contributions during the regular season, which is the most by a Red Bulls player since 2018.

Dylan Nealis returns to the Starting XI, with Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes and John Tolkin all getting the nod to start.

Carlos Coronel is in goal for the Red Bulls.

Head Coach Sandro Schwarz, in his first playoff match in his debut season, will have Cory Burke, Wiki Carmona, Ronald Donkor, Noah Eile, Dennis Gjengaar, Julian Hall, Elias Manoel and Peter Stroud available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as the backup goalkeeper.

Serge Ngoma, Kyle Duncan and Roald Mitchell will miss the match.

Kickoff is set for 6:45 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English, Spanish, FS1, TSN, RDS, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
