The New York Red Bulls take on C.F. Pachuca on Tuesday night in the second round of group stage play in Leagues Cup, needing a victory to advance to the Round of 32.

New York will deploy Elias Manoel, Dante Vanzeir, Lewis Morgan and Wiki Carmona in the attack, looking to get the ball into the back of the net vs. Pachuca.

Morgan has scored 12 goals in 21 matches in 2024.

Daniel Edelman and Ronald Donkor will look to maintain the central midfield from the start.

Pachuca is currently 1-2-1 through four matches of the LIGA MX Apertura, while New York is 10-4-11 in MLS play.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal, with Andrés Reyes and Sean Nealis starting at the centerback pairing. Dylan Nealis and Kyle Duncan start along the backline.

The Red Bulls extended their home unbeaten streak across all competitions to 16 matches, which ties the franchise record for longest home unbeaten streak across all competitions.

Head Coach Sandro Schwarz will have Noah Eile, Dennis Gjengaar, Julian Hall, Ryan Meara, Aidan O’Connor, Dallas Odle, Tanner Rosborough, Steven Sserwadda and Omar Valencia available off the bench. This is the first time Rosborough appears on a matchday squad for the first team.

A victory in 90 minutes, with all three points, advances New York to the Round of 32. If they end regular time in a draw but win the extra point in penalty kicks, RBNY will await the outcome of the Pachuca match vs. Toronto FC.

Emil Forsberg, Serge Ngoma, Peter Stroud and Roald Mitchell remain sidelined. Cory Burke will miss the match due to a non-COVID illness. John Tolkin is away from the squad at the Olympics.

Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English, Spanish, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
