Vanzeir recorded his ninth MLS assist of the season in New York’s 1-1 draw against Charlotte FC. Vanzeirs’ nine assists this season currently rank tied for fifth in franchise history for most assists in a single season by a forward. The Beringen, Belgium native is seeking to become the fifth forward in club history to record double-digit assists in a single season.
Felipe Carballo is available off the bench, making his first roster since joining the squad. Peter Stroud and Serge Ngoma both return to the roster following injuries suffered in the second week of April. Cory Burke, Dennis Gjengaar, Julian Hall, Dylan Nealis, Andrés Reyes and Ryan Meara round out the bench options.
Emil Forsberg, Wiki Carmona and Roald Mitchell are sidelined for the match.
