At the start of a new competition, the New York Red Bulls are facing an old foe, taking on the New England Revolution in the first Leagues Cup match at Red Bull Arena on Saturday night.

Dante Vanzeir and Tom Barlow get the nod, with Luquinhas and Omir Fernandez pushing the attack. Frankie Amaya and Daniel Edelman start in the central midfield.

Amaya scored his fourth MLS goal of the season in the club’s latest match. In his last five matches, Amaya has recorded four goals and two assists. The former UCLA midfielder scored in the win against New England on July 8 and has tallied two career assists against the Revolution.

John Tolkin, Sean Nealis, Hassan Ndam and Cameron Harper start along the backline, with Carlos Coronel in goal.

Head Coach Troy Lesesne will have Elias Manoel, Wiki Carmona, Ronald Donkor, Dru Yearwood, Peter Stroud and Kyle Duncan available off the bench. Leagues Cup roster rules call for three goalkeepers on the matchday roster, with Ryan Meara and Aiden Stokes as possible subs.

Andrés Reyes, Cory Burke, Dylan Nealis, Lewis Morgan, Serge Ngoma and Steven Sserwadda are sidelined with injuries.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
