The Red Bulls defense recorded its 11th clean sheet of the season across all competitions in New York’s latest match. New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel has now recorded eight MLS clean sheets, which ranks tied for seventh in MLS this year. Coronel has posted a 1-0-2 mark against Nashville SC in his career and has recorded two career clean sheets against the club.
Off the bench, Serge Ngoma makes his first appearance on a matchday roster in 2023. He’s joined by Julian Hall, Jorge Cabezas Hurtado, Wiki Carmona, Cameron Harper, Peter Stroud, Dru Yearwood and Dylan Nealis. Ryan Meara is the backup goalkeeper.
This will be the fourth overall regular season meeting between Nashville and the Red Bulls, with New York holding the advantage in the series with a 1-0-2 mark. The Red Bulls have only played in Nashville one time in club history, which was on MLS Decision Day in 2021, where they claimed a 1-1 draw.Â
Dante Vanzeir, Lewis Morgan, Cory Burke and Hassan Ndam are all sidelined with injuries.
