The New York Red Bulls are ready for their friendly tilt vs. FC Barcelona at Red Bull Arena on Saturday evening.
New York will deploy Lewis Morgan and Patryk Klimala up top, with Luquinhas, Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Dru Yearwood in the midfield.
This will be the third all-time meeting for a friendly between New York and FC Barcelona. The first meeting occurred on August 12, 2006, and the second on August 6, 2008, both at Giants Stadium. The 2006 tilt marked the largest crowd for both a Red Bulls game and match involving an MLS side at the time, with an attendance of 79,002.
A backline of John Tolkin, Aaron Long, Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes and Cameron Harper start in front of Carlos Coronel in net.
Head Coach Gerhard Struber will have a full bench, with Ryan Meara, AJ Marcucci, Dylan Nealis, Hassan Ndam, O'Vonte Mullings, Curtis Ofori, Steven Sserwadda, Daniel Edelman, Frankie Amaya, Caden Clark, Omir Fernandez, Tom Barlow and Zach Ryan available.
