INSIDE THE 18: Red Bulls Set for Showdown with Atlanta United FC

The New York Red Bulls are set to face off against Atlanta United FC on Saturday night in Georgia.

Sean Nealis returns to the Starting XI, alongside Andrés Reyes, Noah Eile.

This will be the 16th overall regular season meeting between New York and Atlanta, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the overall series with a 9-1-5 mark. New York have posted a 4-1-2 mark in Atlanta.

Dante Vanzeir and Lewis Morgan lead the attack for RBNY. Felipe Carballo, Daniel Edelman and Ronald Donkor line up in the midfield.

Morgan, who recorded his 13th MLS goal of the season in New York’s last match, has posted seven career goal contributions in 10 career matches against Atlanta.

Cameron Harper and John Tolkin round out the field players.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

The Red Bulls are 2-1-2 in their last five MLS matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Head Coach Sandro Schwarz has Dennis Gjengaar, Emil Forsberg, Julian Hall, Elias Manoel, Ryan Meara, Dylan Nealis, Serge Ngoma, Aidan O’Connor and Peter Stroud available off the bench.

Forsberg made his first MLS start since June 1 against Orlando City FC in New York’s 4-1 win over Toronto FC. Forsberg recorded a goal and an assist in the match, and this was the second time he has done that this season. The Swedish international has now recorded 11 goal contributions in 17 matches played this season.

Wiki Carmona, Kyle Duncan and Roald Mitchell remain sidelined.
