The Red Bulls have posted a 23-9-9 mark at home against New England, including a 7-1-2 record in their last 10 matches against the Revolution at Red Bull Arena.
Omir Fernandez and Luquinhas push the attack, while Daniel Edelman and Frankie Amaya lock down the defensive midfield.
This will be the 82nd overall regular season meeting between New York and New England, with the Revolution holding the advantage in the series with a 34-30-17 mark.Â
Kyle Duncan, Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes and Cameron Harper start along the backline. Carlos Coronel starts in goal for RBNY.
Reyes ranks second in interceptions in MLS with 44 and sits in third place in aerial duels won with 73. Reyes has made three career appearances against New England, where he has scored two goals with only two shots on goal. The Colombian international scored his first career MLS goal against the Revolution on May 22, 2021, which was his first career start for the Red Bulls. Reyes currently has scored two goals for New York this season.
Head Coach Troy Lesesne has Ibrahim Kasule, Wiki Carmona, Peter Stroud, Ronald Donkor, Matt Nocita, Jayden Reid, Hassan Ndam and Ryan Meara available off the bench. Kasule joins from Red Bulls 2, where he’s scored six goals in their last seven games.
Elias Manoel, Dru Yearwood and Dylan Nealis will be held out of the match, while Lewis Morgan, Serge Ngoma, Steven Sserwadda remain sidelined. Cory Burke and John Tolkin are away on international duty.
