Midfielder Sacha Kljestan will be back with the New York Red Bulls for the next month as the team wraps up their regular season and looks toward the playoffs.
Kljestan started both US national team friendlies, against Cuba and New Zealand, during the international break. He logged 70 minutes in Cuba and played the full 90 minutes in D.C. against New Zealand.
The Red Bulls return to action on Sunday, hosting Columbus Crew SC, before heading on the road for the final game of the season against Philadelphia Union.
New York's playoff scenario is still up in the air despite sitting in first place, but they have secured at least one home game, as they can finish no lower than fourth in the Eastern Conference.
Kljestan did not factor in any of the three goals scored in USMNT's 2-0 win over Cuba or 1-1 draw with New Zealand. He leads MLS with 17 assists, up four over second place, Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco.
