HARRISON, N.J. (April 25, 2021) – New York Red Bulls II open up the 2021 USL Championship season against Hartford Athletic on Friday, April 30. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with coverage available on ESPN+.
Head Coach John Wolyniec and NYRB II will begin their seventh season in club history. They are 2-1-3 in season openers and have posted a 2-1-2 record, when starting the season at home. The club has three players returning from last season including leading goal scorer Omar Sowe and assist leader, Jake Lacava.
NYRB II hold a 2-4-0 record against Hartford Athletic in the all-time series. The last time the two clubs met Hartford Athletic defeated NYRB II, 2-0, in the last regular season match of the 2020 USL Championship season.
Following Friday’s season opener, NYRB II will host Charleston Battery on Friday, May 7. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
