This will be the 10th overall regular season meeting between New York and Cincinnati, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage in the series with a 4-2-3 mark. FC Cincinnati are currently first in the Eastern Conference and the Supporters Shield race.
New York Red Bulls midfielder Frankie Amaya recorded the first goal in New York’s 2-1 victory over New England on July 8. Amaya has recorded a goal or an assist in three-straight matches, he has posted three goals and two assists through that time. The former UCLA midfielder is one appearance shy of making 100 career MLS appearances. Alongside Amaya, midfielder Omir Fernandez has recorded an assist in three-straight matches and has now recorded 12 in his MLS career.
