The New York Red Bulls lost 3-0 to the Philadelphia Union on Sunday. The Red Bulls will travel to Washington D.C. next Saturday to play against D.C. United.
Brenden Aaronson scored the first of the night and his third of the season in the 36th minute.
In the first half, Danny Royer and Florian Valot took attempts that went over the net defended by goalkeeper Andre Blake.
New York’s first three substitutions were Omir Fernandez for Jared Stroud in the 57th minute, and Jason Pendant, Mathias Jørgensen for Tom Barlow and Mandela Egbo in the 67th minute.
Philadelphia added a second goal in the 68th minute via Polish-German striker Kacper Przybylko.
Dru Yearwood made his MLS debut in the 83rd minute, taking Valot’s place on the field.
Brian White also came onto the field taking Kaku’s place in the 83rd minute.
The Union’s left-back, Matt Real, scored the last goal of the night.
