HARRISON, N.J. (January 30, 2025) – New York Red Bulls Academy Goalkeeper Joshua Grant has received his first ever call up to the Jamaican National Team. This is the first time a Red Bulls Academy player received a senior national team call up.
The 17-year-old goalkeeper has made three appearances for Jamaica’s U-20 side. He most recently appeared in group stage matches against Grenada and Bermuda at the 2024 U-20 CONCACAF Championship. Grant made his U-20 National Team debut on February 25, 2024, in a 1-0 CONCACAF U-20 Championship qualifying win against Martinique U-20.
The Red Bulls Academy player also appeared in two CONCACAF U-17 Championships for Jamaica, making his debut in a Group Stage matchup against Costa Rica U-17 on February 17. 2023. He also appeared in a Round of 16 match against Guatemala U-17 on February 19, 2023.
The Reggae Boyz will face off against Trinidad and Tobago for two friendly matches. The first will be on February 6 at 7:30 P.M. E.T. at Catherine Hall Stadium, while the second match will be played at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on February 9 at 8:00 P.M. E.T.
