HARRISON, N.J. (January 7, 2022) – Red Bulls Academy midfielder Nathan Worth has been called in to U-15 United States Youth National Team camp, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced today.
“We are extremely pleased that Nate has been called into the U.S. YNT camp in Jan,” Academy Director Sean McCafferty said. “Nate has shown tremendous consistency in the level of his play and has been a driving force in the team’s successful season to this point. We know he will represent himself and the club to the highest of standards.”
Worth, 14, will participate in the camp that will be held from January 7 to 14 in Chula Vista, California. The Chester, New Jersey native most recently played for Red Bulls Academy at the Generation adidas qualifiers at MLS Next Fest on December 3, 2021, where he captained the U-15’s.
The U-15’s won all three of their matches at the event, which included 3-0 win over Nashville Soccer Club, 3-0 win over Minnesota United, and a 2-1 win over Portland Timbers after being down to 10-men for over 60 minutes.
“We are delighted that Nate Worth has been recognized with this call up to U.S. YNT-U15, Nate has been an impactful player with our academy for a number of seasons,” U-15 Head Coach Simon Nee said. “Each season we have the players set goals and this was one of his long-term goals to make the Youth National Team. His level of play, ball striking ability, work rate, bravery on the ball and the consistency in how he attacks every training session I hope serves as inspiration for other in our academy to follow. A great next step in his journey – we wish him every success for the camp in January.
