HARRISON, N.J. (March 31, 2023) – Red Bulls Academy U14s will face off in the 2023 Mina Cup in Dubai this week. The squad will go up against some of the top talent in the world for the U14 age group, playing matches against Barca Academy, Yokohama FC, and Fursan Hispania.
Head Coach Chris Harmon gave his philosophy and expectations going into the matches this weekend:
“We are really excited to be attending the 2023 Mina Cup and are looking forward to our opening game tomorrow versus Yokohama Football Club.
This is an unbelievable experience for our players - both on and off the field.
Playing in this event against top quality international competition from different continents exposes our players to various styles of play and provides them with varying cultural experiences as well.
Our U-14 players have done a great job representing the New York Red Bulls all season. Now they get to do it on an even bigger stage in Dubai.”
April 1st will be the first match, as Red Bulls Academy will go on to face Yokohama FC to start off the group stage. The second and third matches will be on the next day, April 2nd, with our U14s matching up against Barca Academy and Fursan Hispania.
