FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Stephen Keel and Jose Angulo scored second-half goals as the New York Red Bulls Reserves earned a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution Reserves on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium immediately following the teams’ first-team match, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

After a scoreless first half, Keel put the Red Bulls on the board with a free kick goal in the 63rd minute. The Red Bulls extended the lead to two goals when second-half substitute Jose Angulo scored in the 83rd minute, converting Ethan Decker’s cross.

The Revolution had a chance to take an early lead in just the fourth minute through Sainey Nyassi, but his shot ringed off the crossbar and out of play.

With the win, the Red Bulls Reserves improved to 2-5-2 (8 pts.) on the season, while the Revs concluded their 2012 reserve slate with a 2-5-3 (9 pts.) overall record. While tonight’s game concluded the Revolution’s 2012 Reserve League schedule, the Red Bulls will host the Toronto FC Reserves next Sunday, Sept. 30, at Montclair State.
