The New York Red Bulls head down to the nation's capital this weekend to try and seal the deal in the Eastern Conference Semifinals , and more than 1,000 traveling supporters will tag along for the ride.
The Red Bulls are set to face archrivals D.C. United in the second leg of their series in the MLS Cup Playoffs, presented by AT&T, on Saturday (2:30 pm ET; NBC), and they will have plenty of support at RFK Stadium: New York fans have filled up the club's allocated amount of 1,000 tickets for the match.
Which team will win leg 2?
A dozen buses filled wth Red Bulls enthusiasts will head south on I-95 as their club tries to maintain its two-goal lead on aggregate after last Sunday's first leg, and more fans are expected to make the 217-mile trip by car.
A Red Bulls spokesman confirmed details from an EmpireofSoccer.com report that said the club not only helped to provide the transportation for its fans, but also fought to maintain the allocated tickets amount.
The high demand from New York for the weekend fixture led United ticket representatives to consider reducing the number of tickets distributed to the opposing supporters, but the Red Bulls stepped in to make sure their fans received the desired amount.

“It’s amazing to see that we have gone from barely filling one bus to being able to fill 10 buses in less than a week,” Empire Supporters Club board member Eric Rios told EmpireofSoccer.com. “Just a testament to how much the game has grown in the area and how much the fans here want to see the Red Bulls succeed.”
New York won the first leg, 2-0, thanks to goals from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Peguy Luyindula. D.C. United brought a good-sized traveling contingent for that one, and their fans even displayed a clever banner to poke fun at their Atlantic Cup rivals.
