Aaron Long Named to Gold Cup Best XI

New York Red Bulls and United States Men's National Team defender Aaron Long was named to the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup Best XI following his performance in his country's runner-up performance in the tournament.


Long started five matches in the tournament, scoring a brace against Trinidad & Tobago.


The defender now has 10 caps for the National Team, including wearing the captain's armband twice.


Long was joined by two other US players -- Michael Bradley and Christian Pulisic -- as well as seven from the victors, Mexico.


Long will be back with the team and available for selection for the Red Bulls' matchup against New York City FC on Sunday, July 14.
