New York Red Bulls U-13 and U-14 teams welcomed New York Cosmos Academy, while the other academy teams also hosted Montreal Impact Academy at Red Bulls Training Facility on September 14.
Red Bulls U-19’s defeated Montreal Impact U-19’s, 3-2.
The U-19’s won their second match in a row to bring their record to 2-1-0. The first half was a tough one, with Montreal finding both of their goals, but two half-time substitutions of Sal Esposito and Dantouma Toure sparked the U-19’s comeback efforts. Esposito would find his second goal of the season from the penalty spot, while Toure would equalize the match. Finally, Nico Rosamilia, the Man of the Match, would find the game-winner.
Red Bulls U-17’s lost to Montreal Impact U-17’s, 2-4.
The U-17’s went down early in the first minute of the match, when Montreal would convert from the penalty spot. They would find an equalizer off the foot of Tommy Tulgar, his second of the year. Max Andrews would score his first of the season and give the U-17’s the lead going into the break. Unfortunately, Kenny Hot would receive a red card in the beginning of the second half to reduce the home side to 10 men. Montreal would score three unanswered goals in the second half to give the U-17’s their first loss of the season. Tulgar would be named Man of the Match.
Red Bulls U-15’s defeated Montreal Impact U-15’s, 3-0.
The U-15’s won their second straight match with Darsein Gabriel earning Man of the Match honors. Gabriel opened the scoring in the 36th minute, while Jamie Lucas would double the lead in the 45th minute. Luciano Sanchez would convert from the penalty spot in the 56th minute and finish off the match. Montreal presented a tough challenge, but the U-15’s were able to secure their second clean sheet of the season.
Red Bulls U-14’s defeated New York Cosmos U-14’s, 5-0.
After scoring 23 goals last season, Patrick Shaw would open the scoring in the 23rd minute for the U-14’s. Mark Bronnick would record a hat-trick in a matter of 12 minutes, while Bryan Vasquez would put in the fifth goal from the team and secure the U-14’s their second win of the season. Bronnick was named Man of the Match for his dominating performance.
Red Bulls U-13’s defeated New York Cosmos U-13’s, 6-1.
After suffering a loss in their first game of the season, the U-13’s bounced back to say the least. Nathan Worth had himself a day recording two goals and three assists on the day leading him to be named Man of the Match. Jonathan Genoa would add two, while Zidane Yanez would record the sixth goal.
The U-14’s will be the next team in action, when they travel to take on D.C. United on September 22, while the rest of the teams will not be in action until they take on New York City FC Academy on September 28 at the Red Bulls Training Facility.
