Daniel Edelman and John Tolkin Selected to Final Roster for United States U-20 National Team October Camp 

The New York Red Bulls midfielder Daniel Edelman and defender John Tolkin have been selected to the United States U-20 Youth National Team roster for their October training camp, U.S. Soccer announced today.

The Red Bulls homegrowns will participate in the training camp in Dallas, Texas from October 25 to November 5, which will take part with the United States Menā€™s National Team.

This will be fifth time that Edelman has been called into U.S. U-20 duty. Edelman led the U-20ā€™s to win the U-20 CONCACAF Championship, which qualified the United States for the upcoming U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Olympics. The Warren, N.J. native captained the squad three times during the tournament.

Edelman finished his first career MLS season, where he made 16 appearances and started 10 matches, which included nine-straight starts. He scored his first career MLS goal on August 27 against Inter Miami CF, which was also his first career game-winning goal.

Tolkin will earn his first call up to the U.S. U-20 National Team. He was named No. 6 overall on the 2022 MLS 22 Under 22 List after appearing in 31 matches this season, while adding in one goal and three assists. The Chatham, N.J. native signed a new four-year contract with the Red Bulls on October 5.
