Following a controversial penalty awarded to Mexico in extra time, Haiti was eliminated from the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Mexico was able to convert the penalty attempt, putting them up 1-0 for good and advancing them to the Gold Cup Final on Sunday night.
New York Red Bulls midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. entered the scoreless match in the 69th minute and logged the next 50 minutes, tallying one shot on goal.
The Semifinal match was Haiti's first appearance in the Gold Cup semis.
