The New York Red Bulls have added Tanner Rosborough and Steven Sserwadda on short-term agreements ahead of their match against Charlotte FC on Saturday, August 24.
Rosborough, 16, has started nine matches in MLS NEXT Pro this season, scoring five goals and tallying two assists. He scored his first career MLS NEXT Pro goal in a game against Columbus Crew 2 on June 30, becoming the fourth-youngest goal scorer in franchise history at 16 years, 101 days old. He had a five-game goal scoring streak, which extended from June 30 to August 4, and was the second-longest streak in franchise history.
Sserwadda, 22, is in his fourth season with the Red Bulls organization. He has made 39 career appearances for NYRB II, where he has scored four goals and tallied one assist. This season, he has made 21 appearances and scored two goals. Sserwadda also has made three career appearances with the Red Bulls.
The midfielder has made five appearances for the Ugandan National Team, with three of them being starts. Sserwadda made his senior national team debut on March 25, 2023, against Tajikistan.
The players will be available for New York’s regular season matchup against Charlotte at 7:30 PM ET.
