HARRISON, N.J. (September 3, 2024) – New York Red Bulls defender Noah Eile has been named to the Sweden U-21 roster for their upcoming UEFA Euro U-21 qualification matches in September.
Eile, 21, is in his first season with the Red Bulls after joining from Malmo FF this past offseason. He has made 23 MLS appearances and has logged 1,879 minutes played. The defender has tallied three assists this season. Eile recorded his first career MLS assist on May 11 against the New England Revolution at Red Bull Arena.
The Lund, Sweden native has made six career appearances for the Sweden U-21’s, most recently playing in a 5-2 win over Croatia U-21, where he played 90 minutes and tallied an assist. Eile has made 22 appearances for Sweden U-16’s and U-17’s as well.
Eile and Sweden U-21’s will play two UEFA Euro U-21 qualifying matches during the break. First, they will face off against Gibraltar U-21 on Friday, September 6 and then they will play Moldova U-21 on Tuesday, September 16.
