HARRISON, N.J. (March 18, 2024) – New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel has been selected to the Paraguay Men’s National Team roster for their upcoming March friendly.
Coronel, 27, enters his fourth season with the New York Red Bulls. Coronel has made 105 MLS appearances with New York, where he has posted 31 shutouts, which ranks second in franchise history. The Paraguayan goalkeeper has made four appearances this season with the Red Bulls and posted one shutout.
Coronel has made six career appearances with Paraguay since making his debut on September 7, 2023 against Peru in 2026 CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup Qualifying. He has posted three shutouts for Paraguay in the six matches played and has totaled 540 minutes played.
Coronel and the Paraguay will play an international friendly against Russia on Monday, March 25 at VTB Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
