HARRISON, N.J. (August 29, 2024) – New York Red Bulls Goalkeeper Carlos Coronel has been selected to Paraguay National Team roster for CONMEBOL 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying.
Paraguay is set to face off against Uruguay on September 6 and Brazil on September 10.
Coronel, 27, is in his fourth season with New York, where he has made 121 MLS appearances and recorded 34 shutouts. His 34 shutouts rank second in franchise history, while his 47 wins with the Red Bulls, ranks third in franchise history and is only two wins from passing Tony Meola.
Coronel has made nine appearances for the Paraguayan National team, where he has posted five clean sheets. He recently appeared at the 2024 Copa America tournament with Paraguay.
