New York Red Bulls Midfielder Lewis Morgan Selected to Scotland National Team Roster for UEFA Nations League Matches

HARRISON, N.J. (August 28, 2024) – New York Red Bulls midfielder Lewis Morgan has been selected for Scotland National Team roster for their September UEFA Nations League matches.

Morgan, 27, is in his third season with the Red Bulls, where he has made 59 MLS appearances and has scored 26 MLS goals, which ranks tied for eighth place in franchise history. This season, Morgan has scored 12 goals, and has tallied four assists. He recorded a hat trick in New York’s 4-0 win against Inter Miami CF on March 23 and became the fourth player in franchise history to record multiple hat tricks for New York. Morgan also recorded his second double-digit goal scoring season for the Red Bulls, which ranks tied for second in franchise history for double-digit goal scoring seasons by a midfielder.

Morgan earns his second call-up to the Scotland National Team in the calendar year. He was named to Scotland’s roster for the 2024 UEFA Euro and became the third active player in franchise history to be named to a UEFA Euro roster. The Paisley, Scotland native has made four career appearances with Scotland.

Scotland will play two UEFA Nations League matches during this September window. First, they will face off against Poland on Thursday, September 5 in Glasgow, Scotland and then they will travel to face off against Portugal on September 8 at Estadio do Sport Lisoba e Benfica.
