Wikelman Carmona, who will turn 18 on February 24th, shared his thoughts after spending a 10-day camp with Venezuela’s Under-20s. In the last two days, the team led by manager Martín Carillo played two preparation games against Yaracuyanos F.C and Carabobo F.C, and La Vinotinto U-20 defeated Yaracuyanos F.C 4-2 and Carabobo F.C. 4-0.
“This is my second process with the National Team, and I feel very happy to be here, sharing time with my teammates who are great players,” said Carmona.
Carmona saw playing time in both friendlies and left with a good impression of the group of players that trained in Valencia, Venezuela.
“Today I see our National Team in good shape, I have teammates with a lot of talent. I’m very happy I got the chance to play, to be in the starting XI, and I hope to continue giving assists and continue appearing in the Starting XI in the following games,” he said.
The creative midfielder is excited to join the Red Bulls in the upcoming days.
“I believe that signing with the Red Bulls after a lot of work I put in, it’ll help me develop as a player, and I’ll be able to bring that added experience to the National Team,” concluded Carmona.
